On April 23, 2026, HOBUM Oleochemicals GmbH takes part in the nationwide Girls’ & Boys’ Day initiative and welcomes five students at its Hamburg-Harburg site. The aim of Future Day is to offer children practical insights into different professional fields and to encourage interest in scientific and technical careers.

The program starts with a welcome and introduction session, followed by insights into production processes. Students learn how equipment, valves and containers are used in an industrial environment. In the laboratory session, participants examine colors and a sugar solution, gaining hands on experience with analytical and experimental work. After a shared lunch break, additional experiments are planned along with an introduction to the origins of key raw materials such as vegetable oils.

The day concludes with a short journey through HOBUM’s company history, providing an overview of the company’s development. A joint closing session and the presentation of participation certificates mark the end of the event. By hosting Future Day, HOBUM supports early career orientation and engages with the next generation.
