Water-based, self-emulsifying hardeners for liquid epoxy resins and solid resin emulsions are characterised by very fast physical drying, long processing times and very good adhesion properties to metals and mineral substrates. From an occupational health point of view, aqueous systems are to be preferred to all other epoxy systems and should therefore be used wherever technically possible.

MERGINAMID A 154

Merginamid A 154 is a solvent-free, modified polyaminoamide adduct dissolved in water. It has the ability to emulsify liquid epoxy resins and epoxy solid resin dispersions in water and to cure perfectly after evaporation of the water into a homogeneous film. Epoxy resin coatings based on this aqueous hardener have excellent adhesion to mineral substrates, metals and plastics after curing.
